Founded in 2001 by Simmie Kulala, Addis Asqual began as a bold vision to redefine what it means to offer dependable, people-focused services in Ethiopia’s dynamic logistics and tourism sectors. What started as a modest venture has grown into a trusted name in the tour, travel, transit, and import services.

The name “Asqual,” meaning yolk in Amharic, was chosen deliberately — symbolizing not only the core of an egg, but also the central role we aim to play in connecting people and places. It reflects our tenor of being a reliable center of support and coordination across all our sectors. The name “Asqual” had already been claimed, so the word “Addis” — meaning “new” — was added, to distinguish ourselves and embody our forward-thinking approach. “Addis Asqual” represents the fusion of our roots and our vision: grounded in tradition, driven by progress.

Today, we are proud to be a cornerstone in Ethiopia’s logistics industries. This family-founded company has grown through word of mouth, loyal clients, and a commitment to excellence in every detail.

Our Custom-Clearing Services Workflow

1. Pre-Operation & Documentation

Provide a service quote, finalize the contract, and create a checklist for receiving Proof of Sales Documents (PCD).
Receive, verify, and assign operation numbers to PCD.
Send documents to the transit agent and notify the customer of the goods' arrival.

2. Customs, Handling & Coordination

Confirm shipment arrival, assign HS codes, declare items, and calculate taxes.
Submit required documents, process payments, and resolve any inspections or customer queries.
Monitor goods release, track shipments, and handle logistical issues.

3. Delivery, Finalization & Client Follow-Up

Inspect goods for compliance, schedule deliveries, and confirm successful delivery.
Finalize customs declarations, issue invoices, and update accounts.
Check in with customers post-delivery, gather feedback, and maintain relationships.
